How Cater to Mom Began

Cater to Mom began with its founder, Marsha, who faced an underprepared postpartum period after her first child and later recognized what she was experiencing as postpartum depression. Out of that came a conviction that every mother needs ongoing support, proper rest and nourishment, and compassionate companionship.

The brand answers that need with monthly postpartum care boxes of five to seven full-size products the company describes as organic and toxin-free, customizable by birth type and feeding plan, with no contracts and the freedom to pause or cancel anytime.

By the brand's own account it has been delivering these boxes for more than seven years, stocking them from women- and mom-owned small businesses — and the daughter from that first-baby story, Ren Lindor, now illustrates its children's book, Mommy's Rainy Days.
